Instrument Purchasing Guide
The following guide is designed to help students, parents, and band directors select quality piccolos for performance. Metal piccolos are primarily used in outdoor settings (i.e. marching band). Wooden piccolos are the best material for performing indoors but should never be used outside. Composite/Grenaditte piccolos are suited for both indoors and outdoors.
